Fairly Traded Handicrafts from Around the World

Ten Thousand Villages has been recognized as one of the "World's Most Ethical Companies" by The Ethisphere Institute and Forbes Magazine!
Welcome to Ten Thousand Villages Seattle!
Ten Thousand Villages Seattle is a fair trade retailer. Featuring products from more than 110 artisan groups in some 35 countries, we are part of a network of more than 150 retail outlets throughout the United States selling Ten Thousand Villages products.
As one of the world’s oldest and largest fair trade organizations, Ten Thousand Villages has spent more than 60 years cultivating trading relationships in which artisans receive a fair price for their work and consumers have access to distinctive handcrafted items. A founding member of the International Fair Trade Association (IFAT), Ten Thousand Villages sees fair trade as an alternative approach to conventional international trade.
To many, fair trade is just an economic term. Our definition, however, runs far deeper. At Ten Thousand Villages, fair trade is a partnership based on dialogue, mutual understanding, respect and direct contact between ourselves and our artisan partners in developing countries.
